Swing Out New Hampshire - Lindy Hop Dance Camp

Location
Camp Wicosuta is located at the north end of Newfound Lake, near Hebron, NH, in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Camp Wicosuta has been in operation for 88 years, and provides a true summer camp experience including:

We were delighted to find Camp Wicosuta, which is owned by the same folks who own our previous venue, Camp Walt Whitman. Tony Menard, the head chef from Camp Walt Whitman, will be joining us again, along with many support staff personnel from CWW who have been with us for the past few years. In addition, Judy Kapner will again be heading up our on-site office and registration crew.

Travel
We are 2 1/4 hrs by car from Boston and 5 1/2 hrs from New York. We will be offering optional charter bus transportation to and from camp from Logan Airport in Boston, and there is commercial bus service available from New York City. The round trip cost will be $90 from Boston. Reservations must be made and the fare paid by August 1, and the fare will be non-refundable after that date. When you register, please indicate if you want to take the bus.

Bus Information

Charter Bus from Boston
The bus will leave Logan Airport Wednesday afternoon August 31st at 1:15pm for the 3 hr trip to camp. The return bus will leave Mon. morning September 5th after breakfast, arriving at Logan Airport between 12:00pm and 1:00pm. Round trip fare is $90, and reservations must be made in advance. Bus fare is non-refundable after August 1st.

The Boston bus to Swing Out New Hampshire will leave from outside the main doors of the US Air Baggage Area in Terminal B at Logan Airport. The bus is scheduled to depart at 1:30PM on Wednesday, August 31st. Please be there by 1:00PM, so the bus can leave on time for the ride to camp.

The return will leave NH around 8:30am on Monday, Sept 5th, arriving at Logan approximately 11:30am to 12:00pm.

Commercial Bus from NYC
There is convenient commercial bus service from NY to White River Junction, VT. Get tickets at http://www.greyhound.com. We will pick you up at 12:50pm in VT on arrival and bring you to the 8:25am bus on Monday Sept. 5th. If you are arriving at White River Junction on the Greyhound from NY at 12:50pm, you must let us know in advance, so we can meet you.

If you choose to take other busses you will need to make your own arrangements to get to and from the bus and camp.

August 31st - LV New York 5:30am - ARR White River Junction 12:50pm
September 5th - LV White River Junction 8:25am - ARR New York 3:45pm

Travel Suggestions
If you're flying in, it's a good idea to keep some essential items and at least one pair of dance shoes with you as carry-on luggage. The holidays are hectic times for luggage, so imagine what you absolutely can't do without and carry that on the plane with you, just to be safe. This is especially important for things like medications. Or dance shoes.
